eVAL Training Opportunities from Olympic ESD 114
2016-17

 eVAL is a web-based tool designed to help districts manage the teacher and principal evaluation process for Washington. Developed in partnership with the Washington Education Association, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, and Educational Service District 113, eVAL is:
  • a free resource for all districts in Washington State;
  • personalized for each district for their instructional framework, resources, and documents; and
  • extremely secure with limited access physically and virtually to its servers.

Olympic ESD 114 will be providing the following training and support for districts implementing eVAL at no cost.


(Webinar) eVAL 2.0 District Admin: Setting up eVAL for 2016-17

September 14, 2016, 3:00-4:00pm

    This webinar is for district office staff with the role of "eVAL District Admin" and will cover the following topics: 

      - Overview of eVAL 2.0. 
      - Configuring eVAL 2.0 for the 2016-17 school year. 
      - Adding district specific resources, including student growth goal prompts. 
      - Overview of roles in eVAL 2.0. 
      - Assigning principals and teachers for evaluations. 
 

(Webinar) eVAL 2.0 District Principal: Beginning the Evaluation Cycle with eVAL 2.0

September 21, 2016, 3:00-4:00pm

  
This webinar is for principals using eVAL 2.0, and will cover the following topics: 

   - Overview of eVAL 2.0. 
   - Overview of roles in eVAL 2.0 
   - Preparing eVAL 2.0 for the 2016-17 school year. 
   - Assigning teacher evaluations and comprehensive/focused status. 
   - Collecting student grow goals for 2016-17 
   - Preparing for the evaluation cycle, including self-assessment. 

 (Webinar) eVAL 2.0 Principal: Collecting and Packaging Evidence with eVAL 2.0 

October 5, 2016, 3:00-4:00pm

   
This webinar is for principals using eVAL 2.0, and will cover the following topics: 

- Setting up observations cycles. 
- Collecting evidence, including artifacts. 
- Packaging and scoring evidence collections.

 

Hands-on Workshop at OESD-Bremerton (Save the date)

eVAL 2.0 Bootcamp

October 5, 2016, 9:00am-12:00pm

This FREE three-hour hands on workshop is designed to help principals, district leaders, and district trainers/coaches get started using the new eVAL 2.0 tool.

Appropriate for both new and experienced users of eVAL.

   Topics include:

         ·  Self-Assessment and Goal-Setting

         ·  Observations, Artifacts and YTD Evidence

         · Summative Evaluation and Reporting
